I write to advise you that, as per regular practice, Siena College Principal, Elizabeth Hanney, will undertake a Formative Review during Term 1. This is scheduled on Thursday, 16 March and Monday, 20 March 2023.
The process is structured to:
Provide ongoing feedback to the Principal
Confirm and affirm the work of the Principal
Encourage the Principal as a reflective practitioner
Identify areas in performance requiring further development
Provide a means of accountability to the Board and to the wider College community
Provide opportunity for the Board to make appropriate input into the direction of the College
Inform decisions about the Principal’s further professional development
The areas of focus for the review are:
Leadership of the Catholic faith community
Leadership of learning and teaching
Developing self and others
Leading improvement, innovation and change
Leadership of management of the College
Engaging and working with the community
The Review Panel that will conduct this Formative Review comprises:
Margaret McKenna (Board Chair, Whitefriars College – Board Chair’s nominee)
Deborah Barker (Principal, St Kevin’s College – Principal’s nominee)
As part of the review process, feedback from staff will be sought via interviews and an online survey, and the panel will meet with students from different year levels.
Parents may also provide feedback to the Review Panel by requesting an interview on Thursday, 16 March or Monday, 20 March 2023. This can be done by sending an email to the Panel Chair, Ms Myers at vmyers@macs.vic.edu.au. Closing date: Tuesday, 14 March 2023.
