Last Sunday, Dominican representatives: Siena College Principal, Elizabeth Hanney; Director of Formation, Sr Sheila Flynn OP; staff and students; as well as Dominican Sister, Sr Margaret Fields OP attended the 2023 Palm Sunday Peace Walk to advocate for justice for refugees – permanent visas for all, fair processes and income support for people who are seeking recognition as refugees.
The Catholic Alliance for People Seeking Asylum - CAPSA, Jesuit Social Services, Xavier College Social Justice Network and Catholic Social Services Victoria were also in attendance, in addition to other schools and members of the public.
