In a morning filled with anticipation and emotion, Siena College staff, students and the extraordinary Class of 2023 gathered in the Latingata Morrom Gymnasium for the VCE Acknowledgement Assembly.
Returning to the halls of Siena College after what proved to be a year of immense challenge and reward, 2023 College Dux, Isabelle Lando acknowledged the multifaceted nature of Year 12. Beyond academics, it was a year of self discovery, friendship and celebration of milestones. Offering congratulations to the entire Class of 2023, particularly those present, Isabelle commended each individual for their outstanding efforts and achievements. A special mention was reserved for 2023 Dux Proxime, Ali Gerraty.
Isabelle extended thanks to the wider Siena community for fostering an environment conducive to growth and learning. She praised the dedication of Siena staff and teachers, acknowledging their unwavering support and commitment. Personal tributes were offered to parents and family members, whose endless love, support and wisdom proved invaluable throughout the year. A heartfelt acknowledgment was directed towards her own parents, whose guidance and encouragement served as a constant source of strength. Special recognition was given to Isabelle's younger brother, Anthony whose humour and support provided solace during trying times.
Isabelle also highlighted the importance of studying subjects of genuine interest and establishing effective study habits. Encouragement was given to the graduating Class of 2024, urging them to embrace their journey with determination and balance. As the assembly drew to a close, she offered final words of gratitude and well wishes to all present, affirming that Year 12 was a cherished chapter they would forever hold dear. With hearts full of gratitude and anticipation, the Siena community bid farewell to the Class of 2023, eagerly awaiting the next chapter in their remarkable journey.
